The Captain

20210920_124708.jpg

Captain Will’s connection to the New England coast began in childhood on a 16-foot wooden Chris-Craft, learning the subtle signs of the ocean alongside his father and grandfather on Cape Cod Bay. Those early years laid a foundation that, by age sixteen, saw him navigating Cape Cod Bay for striped bass and chasing bluefin tuna on Stellwagen Bank.

His time as captain of the rowing team at Bowdoin College further deepened this bond, spending every fall and spring morning on the tidal inlets of the Maine Coast. A career in medicine led him to Rhode Island in 2010. Over the last 15 years, he has quietly mastered the intricacies of Narragansett Bay and offshore waters of southern New England.

While he has spent four decades fishing New England and winning multiple tournaments, he spends winters exploring world-class fisheries. He has trailered a boat 1500 miles and fished the Florida Keys over a dozen times, navigated the gulf stream to fish the Bahamas, and learned from some of the best Captains in Kona, Rincon, and Costa Rica.

With every adventure, he returns home to bring new techniques and experience. For Will, the goal is to blend global perspective with a deep-seated respect for New England fishing tradition.

A day with Salty Moments is more than just a fishing trip; it is an invitation to learn from a lifetime of fishing experience and tournament-tested knowledge. Whether you are a family picking up a rod for the first time or a seasoned angler looking to advance your skills, Captain Will is dedicated to providing an educational, safe, and top-notch adventure on the water.
